七曲滝・蟇滝(紅葉谷ルート)
Unlike Totoya Road that get crowded with hikers on holidays, the Momijidani Route is not that busy even on weekends.
From here, you’ll begin climbing toward Nanamagari waterfall. The route to the waterfall has a risk of a 20-meter drop if you slip, so proceed with caution.
We’ve descended into the valley with the waterfall. The scenery is magical and beautiful—it was well worth the effort of climbing up and down.
Fallen trees stand like a monument.
Nanamagari Waterfall. The water cascades down, changing direction as it falls.
We turn back and head toward Gama waterfall. To reach it, we descend the cliff using a rope.
Gama Waterfall. The surrounding terrain is fascinating.
On the way back, there’s a bit of bushwhacking. The thorns of the wild raspberries are painful.
